OVERVIEW
Peachtree is a Charter Middle School which includes grades 6, 7 and 8 and is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. We encourage intellectual curiosity, student responsibility, respect for self and others, and have a commitment to the future by including innovative teaching strategies and techniques as well as high standards in our curriculum in order that our children become the very best.

SCHOOL GOALS
The mission of Peachtree Middle School is to foster the social, emotional, and life skill development of its adolescents through an encouragement of responsibility and respect and a commitment to innovative techniques and models of delivery. The school’s environment will be characterized by a close partnership among students, teachers, parents, and community.

Peachtree Middle School holds as its core set of beliefs the notions that:

  • All students will learn and master the content appropriate for their grade level. 

  • Parent/school communication and cooperation is the driving force behind creating an effective school
    program and climate. 

  • The presence of high expectations within the school community can promote all students to overcome
    any obstacle to their growth. 

UNIQUE ASSETS
Peachtree is a Charter School Emphasizing Core Academics, Music and World Languages.  The Special Education department is actively involved in the Special Olympics on a state wide level and sponsors a club which collaborates with regular education students entitled Special Friends. 

AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS

Peachtree named a 2005 Georgia School of Excellence by the Georgia Department of Education.
